On March 3, the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government officially issued "Several Measures for Guangzhou to Firmly Win the Fight against COVID-19 Epidemic and Strive to Achieve the Goals and Tasks of Economic and Social Development throughout the Year" (hereinafter referred to as "Measures") in official website, clearly pointing out that in order to boost automobile consumption, from March to the end of February 2020, Guangzhou will enjoy a maximum subsidy of 654.38 million yuan for purchasing new energy vehicles and a maximum subsidy of 3,000 yuan for purchasing new cars to replace the "National Sixth".

The document also emphasizes that the target of 6,543,800 new small and medium-sized buses set in June 2009 (2065.438+2009) will be accelerated, and new targets will be studied and introduced as appropriate.

It took only five days for Guangzhou to review and approve the Measures on February 26th and implement the subsidy policy. The "Measures" mentioned that it is necessary to speed up the implementation of the quota of small and medium-sized buses that were not used up last year, subsidize the replacement of used cars and purchase new energy vehicles, and boost automobile consumption.

Subsidizing the purchase of new energy vehicles and national six models is in line with the call of the state to stabilize automobile consumption, especially in Guangzhou and Guangdong provinces, which are highly dependent on the automobile industry.
