Physical geological data has important reference value in participating in geological science management, solving geological major events and predicting the future development of geological frontier science. Physical geological data information is not only concerned and needed by experts and scholars engaged in geological science research, but also inseparable from the staff of government agencies and institutions, and is also concerned and interested by the public. Therefore, the quality of physical geological data information service not only affects the construction of geological science, but also relates to the cultural life of the public.
1 physical geological data requirements
Investigation on the demand for physical geological data 1. 1
From September 2006 to February 2006, we conducted a questionnaire survey and expert consultation survey on the socialization demand of physical geological data. The contents involved in the survey mainly include the basic situation of the respondents, the service information content required by the respondents, the user structure of physical geological data, the main ways to obtain geological data information, the main types of required physical geological data, the degree of demand for various physical geological data by the respondents, and the degree of demand for data information.
According to the survey results, we can draw the following conclusions: ① The main groups that need physical geological data are scientific researchers, geological and mineral exploration enterprises, mineral resources developers, universities and colleges, followed by government agencies and the public. The staff who need physical geological data are mainly the backbone of geological exploration and geology. ② Respondents have a basic understanding of physical geological data. ③ The respondents generally believe that the physical geological data are important and reliable, but the timeliness and popularity are poor. ④ It is generally believed that the physical geological data are more authentic, but the effectiveness is lower, and the work relies heavily on the physical geological data. ⑤ The main types of physical and geological data are cores, rock samples, rock slices and rock samples. ⑥ At present, there is a strong dependence on the physical geological data produced by mineral resources, energy exploration and regional geological survey, which are 70.3%(45 copies) and 67.2%(43 copies) respectively, and the demand for the physical geological data produced by geological disaster investigation, geophysical and geochemical exploration and remote sensing investigation, engineering geological investigation, environmental and ecological geological investigation and scientific research is about 47%. In addition, groundwater resources and energy exploration also have a certain proportion of physical demand. This reflects the diversification of the demand for physical geological data resources for national economic construction and social sustainable development, and the continuous expansion of the service field of physical geological data resources. The service of physical geological data is expanding from traditional prospecting to disaster prevention and mitigation, land consolidation, environmental protection, major geological engineering and environmental protection.
1.2 There are problems in the demand and service of physical geological data.
Compared with the geological survey data supporting the Regulations on the Management of Geological Data, the management and service methods of physical geological data collection, related technical standard system and organization management system are not perfect, the infrastructure is not complete, the storage and service system is almost paralyzed, and the storage quantity of physical geological data is unclear.
The concept of physical geological data management and service is not strong, focusing on collection but neglecting utilization, focusing on preservation and neglecting development, focusing on communication and neglecting service; Management and service methods are single, technical means are backward, and the comprehensive quality of management and service personnel needs to be further improved, especially the shortage of computer talents to adapt to modern information technology services.
The policies and regulations on the management and service of physical geological data are not matched, and the standardization process is slow. The policies and regulations on confidentiality and protection are not perfect, which seriously restricts the development of socialized services; The filing of physical geological data is weak, lacking customer service policies and mechanisms; Due to the restriction of the interests of institutions and departments, China lacks unified planning, deployment and technical standards for the management and service of physical geological data, and lacks policies for information exchange and sharing of physical geological data. The management of physical geological data resources is scattered and the barriers are serious. The physical geological data service is mainly off-line, so it is impossible to provide one-stop geographic information service for physical geological data and realize the national physical geological data information service.
The service of physical geological data lacks the customer service policy and mechanism of unified cooperation and benefit sharing, and the classified management of products and users of physical geological data service is chaotic, and the service mode of products is single; Few customer demand surveys are conducted; No customer service plan and service feedback mechanism have been established.
The digitization of physical geological data products is low and the accumulation of product resources is insufficient. Many physical geological data products and services urgently needed by society have not yet been developed. The construction of physical geological data database is progressing slowly. By June 5438+00, 2006, the website of the national physical geological database had been established, and the physical geological data resources accounted for 16% of all collected data.
2 Physical geological data demand analysis
2. 1 service demand of experts and scholars for physical geological data
Experts and scholars engaged in geological science research are the main users of physical geological data and information. Their geological professional quality is relatively high, they generally have certain professional and technical positions, have a deep understanding of their own professional and technical fields, and have a strong ability to accept and apply knowledge. The physical geological data they need are highly specialized and have outstanding professional characteristics, and the demand for physical geological data is at a high level. For these problems, we can provide geological experts and scholars with corresponding physical geological data and all kinds of written materials related to physical objects, such as documents, photos, charts and so on. They require systematic physical geological data, so it is difficult to serve physical geological data.
2.2 Government's service demand for physical geological data and information
Because the demand of leaders' decision-making for physical geological data information has its own characteristics, the demand of government leaders for physical geological data information is different from that of experts and scholars engaged in scientific research. First of all, leaders are not concerned with the deep-seated problems of academic research, but need to understand the development trend of ideology, and need the management and service departments of physical geological data to provide comprehensive, budding and comprehensive information, suggestions, macroeconomic analysis and advanced prediction; Secondly, the decision-making of leaders needs the information of physical geological data with good content, large quantity and fast transmission speed, and requires that the information work of physical geological data can reach the standard of standardization, institutionalization and scientificity, and can ensure the continuity of the information of physical geological data; Third, leadership decision-making needs vertical comparison between local and historical geological data information, as well as horizontal comparison between quality units across the country, and resource information that can be used for reference. These resources should have extensive information, many levels and a wide range of fields. We must be able to highlight signs and trends and be instructive. Government leaders should grasp the new situation and new problems in the reform through these physical resources information, and check whether the reform plan is correct, so as to make policy adjustments and promote the continuous deepening and improvement of the reform. This information is theoretical and targeted, so it is not difficult to collect physical geological data products. But it must be systematic and novel, which requires our physical geological data management and service providers to have high comprehensive ability and the ability to control physical geological data management and service from a macro perspective.
2.3 University teachers and students' service demand for physical geological data
Most college teachers and students like to use the information resources of physical geological data to broaden and increase their professional knowledge, improve their quality in an all-round way and solve various problems in their hearts. However, due to their own differences, they also have differences in the utilization of physical geological data information resources. According to relevant surveys, doctoral students spend more time online, and 30% ~ 50% of college students like to use computers and communication networks as media tools to obtain the latest information online, so as to improve their comprehensive quality by browsing and reading online information. College teachers who are in the front line of teaching and scientific research have the highest utilization rate of physical geological data network. According to a survey of Books and Information, 80% users use the Internet to find information resources, and 43% users follow the latest progress in the field of geological science and find information that is difficult to find elsewhere. Therefore, it is very important for them to establish an efficient physical geological data service network.
2.4 geological enterprises and institutions' service demand for physical geological data
Market competition urges enterprises to continuously improve the efficiency of information resources development and utilization, and to improve and innovate the production equipment, production technology and production management of enterprises and institutions in order to obtain economic benefits. In most enterprises and institutions of geology and mineral resources in China, there is an urgent need for physical geological data services to serve as senior consultants. Different types of geological and mineral enterprises have different requirements for the information types of physical geological data due to their own conditions and factors affected by social environment. However, on the whole, the demand of geological enterprises and institutions for physical geological data resources services has changed from a single technology in the past to an all-round and multi-variety service demand for market, economy, management, foreign trade and technology, especially for the variety and proportion of physical geological data. For example, some mineral exploration needs physical and geological data of metallic minerals, while others need physical and geological data of nonmetallic minerals. Some need some sample test data.
2.5 public demand for physical geological data
Due to the influence of age, occupation, knowledge background and other factors, the public's demand for physical geological information is more diversified and personalized, but in any case, they all want to master their valuable physical geological information anytime and anywhere, and hope to provide them with screened, integrated and optimized physical geological information products. Their demand for product information of physical geological data is more targeted and timely, and the types of products needed for physical geological data are more complex and the scope of information needed is wider.
3 physical geological data service demand countermeasures
The management purpose of physical geological data is to meet the needs of users, that is, to make full use of this resource, play its role and realize its value. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of different users for physical geological data, the management and service of physical geological data should keep up with the changes in demand in mechanism and service mode.
(1) Strengthen the construction of physical geological data resources, because it is possible to carry out corresponding services with resources, and resources are the premise of services. The physical geological data screened, collected, put into storage and kept must be typical, important, special and systematic.
(2) The service of physical geological data must be continuous, systematic and complete.
(3) Do a good job in the relationship between the randomness of user demand and the persistence of physical geological data service, the personalization of user demand and the systematization of physical geological data service resources.
(4) Facing the complexity and dynamics of users' needs, the service department of physical geological data should adjust the collection structure and service means of the physical geological data it keeps in time, expand key services according to the characteristics and policies of the physical geological data in the collection, and carry out personalized and professional services on the basis of meeting the basic needs of users, so as to better meet the special needs of key users and move towards the development trend of quality, personalization, specialization and commercialization.
(5) Strengthen the networking and digitalization of physical geological data services. Meet the convenience and accuracy of users' query and browsing.
(6) Establish a service exchange platform for physical geological data to meet the cooperation and exchange of physical geological data at home and abroad.
