At present, cryogenic refrigeration technology has been widely used in all aspects of social life. Chlorofreon, which is still used in traditional aerated refrigeration technology, releases greenhouse gases that seriously affect human ecological environment. Therefore, it is an urgent problem to find a new, efficient and pollution-free refrigeration mode in the world today. Magnetic refrigeration technology is a new science and technology, and it is the development trend of refrigeration in the future. In this paper, the working principle of magnetic refrigeration technology and the selection of magnetic materials are studied, and the comparison between magnetic refrigeration and gas-loaded refrigeration is made. Then some key magnetic technologies are introduced: magnetic field analysis, magnet structure design, selection of magnetic refrigeration cycle, and cold storage heat exchange technology. Finally, the research status, application prospect and basic problems in the field of magnetic refrigeration are introduced.
