Basic introduction:
The LCD monitor is a kind of liquid crystal display.
Liquid crystal display (LCD) is a flat ultra-thin display device, which consists of a certain number of color or black and white pixels and is placed in front of a light source or a reflector. Liquid crystal displays are favored by engineers because of their low power consumption, and are suitable for electronic devices that use batteries. Its main principle is to use current to excite liquid crystal molecules to produce points, lines and surfaces, and cooperate with backlight to form a picture.
Working principle of liquid crystal display: liquid crystal is a special substance between solid and liquid. It is an organic compound, which is normally liquid, but its molecular arrangement is as regular as that of solid crystals, so it is named liquid crystal. Another special property is that if an electric field is applied to liquid crystal, its molecular arrangement will change. At this time, if it is matched with a polarizer, it can prevent the light from passing through (when no electric field is applied, the light can pass through smoothly), and if the voltage applied to the liquid crystal is changed by a color filter, the light transmittance of a certain color can be changed, or figuratively speaking, the light transmittance can be changed by changing the voltage across the liquid crystal (but in fact this must be combined with a polarizer).
