Qinzhou Port, a national economic and technological development zone, is located in the southern coast of China, in Qinzhou Bay of Beibu Gulf, with its back to the southwest and facing Southeast Asia, and its geographical position is very superior. It was once the second largest port in the south in the planning of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's "General Plan for the Founding of the People's Republic of China", second only to Guangzhou Port. Qinzhou Port is a natural deep-water port along the southwest coast of China, with wide waters, less wind and waves, less incoming sand and stable beaches, which has favorable conditions for building deep-water berths. In recent years, Qinzhou Port has developed very rapidly. In May 2008, the State Council approved the establishment of Qinzhou Bonded Port Area, the sixth coastal bonded port area in China. So far, Qinzhou Port has become the only bonded port area along the western coast of China. On June 7th, 2009, it was approved by the State Council as the import port for complete vehicles, and passed the national acceptance on June 7th, 2009, with 2011. As a result, Qinzhou Port has become the fifth coastal vehicle import port in China.
