Meteor shower name: Eta Aquarius.
Comet parent: 1C/ halley
Radiant point: Aquarius Eta (Aquarius Eta)
Estimated date: 5th to 6th.
Summary: The density of meteors is high, but the flow rate is not very stable (the lowest is only a few dozen, and the highest may reach several hundred per hour). The equator and the southern hemisphere can be observed within a few hours before dawn, and the north is not conducive to observation. Many groups of meteors will leave long tracks in the sky.
It's not impossible to see it. It's hard to observe. I don't see it. It's normal.
This meteor group belongs to Halley's comet with the Orion meteor group in October. It reached its peak from May 4th to May 5th. The radiation point of this group of meteors is on the equator of the celestial sphere, rising around 2 am, and the sky will be bright soon after rising, so the observation conditions are not very good. This group of meteors is very fast, about 64 km/s.
You've been watching the sky around 2: 30 in the morning, but don't get your hopes up. This meteor is fleeting.
