Shuiyuean Stone Pagoda is located at the southeast of Yuetang Village, Ganhe Town, Gaotang County, Liaocheng City 100 meter. Municipal cultural relics protection units.
The stone pagoda of Shuiyue Temple was built in the Qing Dynasty, which recorded the deeds of practicing monks in Shuiyue Temple and Baiyi Temple in Gaotang County during the years of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong. The tower is 3.6 meters high and is divided into three layers (nine layers of stone). Each layer is carved from a piece of bluestone. The shape, carving and pattern of each floor are different, such as drum, square and octagon, and the top of the tower is gourd-shaped. The surface of the tower is engraved with flowers, figures, animals and other patterns.
The construction date of Shuiyuean Stone Pagoda is clearly recorded on the sixth floor: Ji, the great master Tan Rui, located in Wengta, was four years old in Qing Dynasty until October 15th. This place used to be the former site of the temple, and this tower is the temple monk Tanrui Buddha Tower. This stone pagoda is beautifully shaped and exquisitely made.
The stone tower of Shuiyue Temple in Gaotang, Liaocheng was stolen and recovered on 20 12 five years later. Now a fence has been set up for protection.
