The difference between washing alloy nanoparticles with ethanol and washing with water

The main difference between the two cleaning methods is that ethanol cleaning can control particle agglomeration.

Because the surface tension of alcohol is relatively small, it can replace the water adsorbed on the surface of particles, reduce the role of hydrogen bonds, reduce the capillary effect of particle agglomeration, and make particles no longer reunite. From the point of view of reducing impurity ions, there is little difference between water washing and alcohol washing, and the removal effect is related to the number of water washing.
