Who is the person known as the "virgin" in the East?

Madonna in the East is the name given by Time magazine to China and Hongkong famous singer Anita Mui. Anita Mui died in Hongkong on February 30th, 2003. After the news came out, it shocked the entertainment circle in China and was widely reported by the major media in China. CNN TV broadcast described Anita Mui as "Hong Kong Madonna" and affirmed her status as the eldest sister of Hong Kong music. In early 2004, the Asian edition of Time magazine published a commemorative article, saying that Anita Mui's charm on the stage was comparable to Madonna's. Later, when introducing Anita Mui, the western media often quoted the name "Madonna of the East".
