Weilai is developing independently in the field of autonomous driving. Simply put, high-definition maps are for people to see, and high-precision maps are for autopilot assistance systems. High-precision map is an indispensable part of high-order automatic driving of vehicles. The accuracy of high-precision map can directly affect the level and safety of automatic driving.

With the help of high-precision maps, NOP can be activated on most expressways, urban expressways and elevated roads (due to the requirements of laws and regulations, Beijing can only be activated outside the Fifth Ring Road and the Fifth Ring Road). Compared with similar functions of other brands, it is an advantage of NOP to enable them on urban expressways and viaducts.

However, due to the limitation of the high-precision map itself, NOP can't achieve the accurate speed limit at the lane level at present, and can only refer to the maximum speed limit between different lanes on the same road section. In addition, NOP can't get the relevant information in time for the temporary speed limit caused by weather, road construction and other reasons.

There are thousands of roads, and safety comes first. "Autopilot" used to be synonymous with Tesla, but in the past few years, there have been many crashes involving Tesla's autopilot mode. At present, the assisted driving function can't be compared with automatic driving.
