Liaocheng Tower Attractions Introduction:
Liaocheng Tower is a well-known folk song in Liaocheng: Dongchangfu, with three treasures, Pagoda, Drum Tower and Gao Yu. Known as one of the three treasures, the iron tower is located on the west bank of Dongguan Canal in Liaocheng, the southeast corner of longxing temple, lord protector. No one remembers the tower itself, and there is no record in local literature. From the analysis and comparison of the shape and relief style of the tower, it was built in the early Northern Song Dynasty and is the oldest existing building in this city. The tower is an octagonal pagoda with 12 floors and a height of 15.8 meters. It consists of tower body and tower foundation. The tower foundation is stone square, stacked asymmetrically from top to bottom, with a height of 2.90m, a bottom length of 3.17m and an area of10.50m2.. The tower body is made of wood-like cast iron, which is stacked layer by layer.
The iron shell is hollow with a thickness of 6- 10 cm. The building floor is *** 12, and the inclined column and bucket arch are the same as the first floor. Each floor has a flat seat with waist eaves. The flat seat is made up of four single-copied hearts and is surrounded by railings. The waist eaves are like wooden eaves, and there are purlins, eaves rafters, flying rafters, corrugated ridges and inclined ridges. The tower body is divided into layers, and the top of the tower is equipped with a lotus gourd vase tower gate. Liaocheng Tower is one of the few stone buildings in China, which has high research value in both architectural style and stone carving art.
