Nanzenji Scenic Area introduces nanzenji. Although it is not big, it is full of incense. The historical blocks along the ancient canal in Wuxi are connected with temples. The wonderful light tower in the temple is very conspicuous in a building with white walls and black tiles, and it is a landmark in this area. After the Buddhist ceremony in the temple, you can go shopping and eat delicious food nearby. The night view here is also worth seeing.
Nanzenji was founded in the early years of the Qing Dynasty (AD 547), located in Liang Wudi in the Southern Dynasties, and later generations made many rejuvenating and abolishing it. The temples we see now were rebuilt in the 1980s and 1990s.
The temple gate is at the southern end, and there are only a few buildings such as Daxiong Hall on the north-south central axis. The Miaoguang Tower on the east side is seven stories high. From the tower, you can see the roof of the antique building under the tower, overlooking the nanzenji pier on the south side of the ancient canal. There is a vague feeling that an ancient canal scroll is unfolding in front of us.
