What does the Foreign Trade Bureau do?

The full name of the Foreign Trade Bureau is the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China (PRC), and its main functions are-

First, provide relevant services for China enterprises to explore the international market, promote two-way exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises, and expand the popularity and share of China products in the international market.

To undertake the organization review of projects related to the Central Foreign Trade Development Fund and the specific implementation of projects funded by entrepreneurs' economic and trade exchanges between China and Central and Eastern Europe; Carry out cooperation and exchanges with overseas trade promotion agencies and related organizations; Contact China Investment, Development and Trade Promotion Center.

3. Printing and issuing qualification certificates for import and export enterprises; Organize and implement the work related to the examination and approval of import business qualifications of some commodities.

Fourth, support China enterprises and products to enter the international market; Organize external publicity and promotion activities of branded goods and implement brand strategy; Organize and implement promotion activities such as technology trade and high-tech export products.

Five, to provide enterprises with trade environment information consulting and services, to provide information consulting services for import and export companies.

Six, responsible for the daily operation of the "China Trade Guide" and provide information to enterprises.

7. Establish and maintain the credit system of foreign trade enterprises and the database of foreign permanent representative offices; Provide enterprises with credit investigation of foreign partners.

Eight, to undertake the special investigation of products and markets assigned by the Ministry of Commerce, and provide information support and suggestions for foreign trade development and decision-making.

9. To undertake various official trade expansion activities sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce.
