License plate, commonly known as license plate, also refers to vehicle number plate. It's a board hanging on the front and rear of the car respectively. It is usually made of aluminum, iron, plastic or paper, with the registration number, registration area or other relevant information engraved on it.
The license plate number can be designed by yourself, except for the first two in accordance with national regulations, others can be freely selected. At present, the civil license plate is Type 92, which has been used nationwide since July 1994. The first place of the license plate is the Chinese character representing the provincial administrative region where the vehicle is registered, which is the abbreviation of all provinces, municipalities directly under the central government and autonomous regions. For example, Beijing is Beijing, Shanghai is Shanghai, Hunan is Hunan, Chongqing is Chongqing, Shandong is Shandong, Jiangxi is Jiangxi, and Fujian is Fujian. The second place of the license plate is the English letter representing the administrative district where the automobile account is located, and it is the letter code of each prefecture-level city, region, autonomous prefecture and league. Generally, it is ranked according to the status of provincial vehicle management offices and local administrative regions. In addition, I and O are skipped when compiling English alphabet codes of prefecture-level administrative regions, and O is often used as police cars or government agencies.
