Beijing Union University (Beijing? Union? University (BUU for short) is an ordinary undergraduate university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and a new application-oriented university approved by the State Council, China. The school was founded in 1985, formerly known as Beijing University of Technology Amateur. After years of development, it was officially renamed Beijing Union University in 2000.
Beijing Union University now has 16 colleges, covering engineering, science, literature, law, economics, management, art, foreign languages and other disciplines.
