What were the personal origins and growth processes of Zhang Shicheng and Chen Youliang in the rebel army at the end of Yuan Dynasty? How did you finally quit the stage of history?
Zhang Shicheng (1): A native of Baijuchang, Taizhou (now Baiju, southwest of Dafeng City, Jiangsu Province) at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, nicknamed Jiu Si, was a salt merchant, and was of Han nationality. In the 13th year of Zheng Zheng (1353), he and his brothers Shi Yi, Shi De, Shi Xin and Li Bosheng led Ding Yan to attack Yuan and capture Taizhou, Xinghua and Gaoyou. In the first month of the following year, he became king in Gaoyou, and the founding day was Zhou, and the reform day was Yuan. Gaoyou was once surrounded by the Yuan Army, but was later demoted because the viceroy and the prime minister could not get away from getting cold feet. The Yuan army was in chaos, and he took advantage of the situation to attack and won a great victory. In fifteen years, Tongzhou (now Nantong, Jiangsu) crossed the river and attacked south. At the beginning of the following year, it captured Changshu, Pingjiang (now Suzhou, Jiangsu), Songjiang, Changzhou and other places, and made Pingjiang its capital. Later, he went to war with Zhu Yuanzhang's army. In seventeen years, he was defeated by Zhu Yuanzhang's army. He surrendered to the Yuan Dynasty and was made Qiu. Since then, it has become a major force in western Zhejiang, transporting grain to Beijing many times. In twenty-three years, he sent troops to attack Anfeng (now Shouxian County, Anhui Province) and drove out Liu Futong and Han Liner, calling himself the prince of Wu. In twenty-seven years, Pingjiang was captured by Zhu Yuanzhang's army and Yingtian (now Nanjing, Jiangsu) was captured. After being captured by Zhu Yuanzhang, he hanged himself. 2 Chen Youliang: Chen Youliang (1320 ~ 1363), the founder of Dahan regime in China in the late Yuan Dynasty. After the peasant war broke out at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, he joined the Red Scarf Army led by Xu Shouhui, Zou Pusheng and Ni Wenjun and was promoted to Marshal. In the 17th year of Yuan Dynasty (1357), Chen Youliang attacked and killed Ni Wenjun. In nineteen years, he killed Tianwan general Zhao Pusheng and took Xu Shouhui hostage, calling himself Hanwang. In May of the following year, he killed Xu Shouhui and made himself emperor. The establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC) changed benevolence and righteousness. Since then, while continuing to resist the Yuan War, the military focus has been on the war against neighboring Zhu Yuanzhang. Most of the big fellow soldiers belong to the old clan, and they are deeply dissatisfied with Chen Youliang's usurpation of power and position. During the war, they defected to Zhu one after another, causing Chen Youliang to lose one after another. In August of the 23rd year, Chen Youliang was killed in Poyang Lake.
