Shandong Province

Introduction:

Binzhou City is located in the northern part of Shandong Province, Lubei Plain and the hinterland of the Yellow River Delta, with a land area of 9,600 square kilometers. Located in the overlapping zone of Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone, Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone, Bohai Economic Zone and Jinan Provincial Capital Urban Agglomeration Economic Zone, it is the north gate of Shandong Province. Established on June 8, 2000, with a population of 3.8 million (20 14). It now governs Bincheng District, Zhanhua District, Huimin County, Yangxin County, Wudi County, Boxing County, five counties and two districts of zouping county, Binzhou Economic Development Zone, Binzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Binzhou Beihai Economic Development Zone, and is the largest administrative region in the Yellow River Delta.

Administrative divisions:

By the end of 20 14, the whole city had jurisdiction over 2 districts and 5 counties, namely Bincheng District, Zhanhua District, Huimin County, Yangxin County, Wudi County, Boxing County and zouping county. * * * has 29 sub-district offices, 58 towns and 4 townships.

Geology:

Binzhou city is located in Jiyang depression in the southeast of Cenozoic subsidence area in North China. The underlying bedrock of Cenozoic is Paleozoic sedimentary strata and pre-Sinian metamorphic rock series. It is divided into several small fault blocks by several NE-trending faults, and there is basically no Mesozoic strata. The Cenozoic strata directly covered the Paleozoic strata, and the fault blocks sank to form a Cenozoic depression basin, which deposited a full set of extremely thick Cenozoic strata. Strata is interbedded with marine facies, lacustrine facies and alluvial debris, and contains a lot of organic matter, which is beneficial to oil generation. Except for the southern mountainous area of Zouping, most of the surface layer of Binzhou City is covered by Quaternary sediments, and the south of Xiaoqing River is in the middle and tail of the alluvial plain at the northern foot of Luzhong Mountain, which is the overlapping zone of diluvial and alluvial plains, and the thickness of diluvial alluvium is generally 100 ~ 200m. The north of Xiaoqing River is alluvial deposit of the Yellow River, the thickness of which is mostly between 200 and 400 meters, and the thickest between Xiaoqing River and Yellow River can reach 400 meters. For a long time, Jiyang Depression has been a subsidence zone, and the crust has been in a state of subsidence while being filled with river sediments. In particular, the alluvial action of the sediment-laden rivers in the Yellow River is dominant, and the alluvial speed is greater than the crustal subsidence speed, forming a vast alluvial plain.

Mountains:

The mountainous area in the territory is the remnant vein of Taiyi Mountain, which runs nearly north-south, with only a few hills in zouping county. Most of the rocks in the hills are medium-basic rocks, with a small amount of bedrock, and no acidic rocks are found on the surface, belonging to Changbai Mountain range. According to the geographical distribution of peaks, Changbai Mountain can be divided into three peak communities, with Maha mountain, Baiyun Mountain and Huixian Mountain as the main peaks. Maha Mountain Group is the largest mountain group in Changbai Mountain range, with the main peak Maha Mountain at an altitude of 826.8 meters. The mountain group is generally east-west, with an east-west length of about12km, a south gate width of about 4km and a Fiona Fang area of over 40 square kilometers. Baiyun Mountain is about 5.3 kilometers long from north to south and 10 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of more than 50 square kilometers. The main peak is 729.6 meters above sea level. The whole mountain group in Huixian Mountain is in an arc direction from north to southwest to east, with a width of about 7.5 kilometers from east to west and a length of about 6.5 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of about 22.3 square kilometers. The main peak is 590 meters above sea level.

Rivers:

In addition to crossing the Yellow River, the territory is bounded by the Yellow River, with Xiaoqing River basin in the south and Haihe River basin in the north. Rivers generally flow northeast to the Bohai Sea.
