Fushun is an ancient city with a long history of 7000 years. The ancestors of Fushun created a splendid stone shed culture. There have been castles in Fushun since the Han Dynasty, and Xuantu County was established here in 75 BC. By the Wei and Jin Dynasties, Goguryeo occupied Xuantu City on the hill of Labor Park and renamed it Gaimou City. In 335 AD, a "Guo Bei New City" was built, that is, Gaoer Mountain City. The name Fushun begins with 1384. In the Ming Dynasty, there was a brick city named Fushun City under the Gaoer Mountain on the north bank of Hunhe River. Fushun means "helping Suiyuan frontier and guiding foreigners".
