LG's next-generation 42-inch OLED TV is a work of art (and a shelf).

LG launched its next-generation OLED TV model, including its second 42-inch OLED TV option, which is completely different from the company's consistent minimalist style and is popular. The LG Posé series, also known as LG LX 1, adopts a thicker fabric cover design and built-in brackets, aiming to be the core of the room, not just some technologies stored on the wall, or embarrassed to lean in the corner.

The design of LG Posé covers Kvadrat fabric, which is often used in speakers (because of its high-quality feel, it will not affect the acoustic performance, and it is very useful for the audio hope of equipment). The design of LG Posé focuses on the front screen, but it has a hint of fabric and a frame at the bottom. It surrounds the bottom in a U-shape, and then rises about two thirds from the back.

What we like best is that it forms a shelf, so you can use the back of the TV as a "now playing" station for small magazine rack, vinyl or blu-ray boxes, or just put some pictures you like.

Pose (pronounced "pose-ay", which is also an action in ballet, the dancer steps on a straight leg confidently and gracefully) is designed to stand in the middle of the room, so that we can understand it from all angles. From the back and side, it looks like a piece of furniture with aesthetic design concept; Seen from the front, it is a fashionable TV. When it doesn't play movies, you can use LG's gallery mode to add art works to it.

The leg also includes a cable management system, so it is easy to run the power carefully and connect to one of the best AV receivers.

The TV part itself is a 4K organic light-emitting diode Evo panel, which means that it includes LG Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor, as well as Dolby Panorama, Dolby Vision and HDMI 2. 1 support. It comes in 42-inch, 48-inch and 55-inch sizes-consider it an ultra-fashionable LG C2, but the price may be higher.

LG Posé (together with the 65-inch LG easel released at the end of last year) will be fully displayed at Milan Fashion Show on June 7, 2022. We hope to hear the price and release date at the exhibition.

For a long time, the way to design TVs has been to try to pretend that they don't exist: make them as slim as possible and have as small a border as possible. With the ultra-thin technology of Acura OLED TV and the popularity of new mini-LED TV, Acura TV is thinner than ever! Which ... okay? Let's guess?

The popularity of Samsung The Frame TV shows that perhaps not every TV should embark on this special evolutionary path. No matter how hard you try to pretend that turning off the TV doesn't exist, it still exists. It is a big rectangle! So, if you want to occupy physical and aesthetic space, why not use it?

Frame TV has a thick border and a protruding lip to imitate a photo frame-an object that we are all familiar with in the living room, so TV adapts well to this way by actually attracting attention.

Products like Sky Glass or Loewe's new TV actually have striking bright colors in their designs, so they can become part of the modern color appearance and complement each other in the room.

So it's nice to see LG involved. Posé combines mid-century sideboard legs with modern Scandinavian-style cloth speakers. This is the first TV we can think of for a long time that has practical uses besides watching-the shelf on the back may be a little tactile, but the TV design rarely takes into account what is contained in your room ... Well, what else? I hope this is just the beginning.
