So, buy soil and fill it up!

He knows that no one in this world will pity anyone but himself and the team. Now the Zhaoqing factory has been built, but everything has just begun. He needs someone to guide Zhaoqing factory to maturity and growth.

"In May last year, I joined Xpeng Motors as the company's vice president, mainly responsible for the company's manufacturing sector, and achieved the production goal of Xpeng Motors. He is now mainly responsible for the construction and operation of the manufacturing center, and at the same time comprehensively organizes the model production of Xpeng Motors and leads the team of Zhaoqing Base in Xpeng Motors. " Pingjiang, who has worked in Guangzhou Automobile Group for 30 years, is just the person Xiao Peng needs.

Xpeng Motors Zhaoqing Factory is located in Zhaoqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone, not far from Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou South Railway Station. The factory has five workshops: stamping, welding, painting, assembly and packaging. It has the flexible production capacity of four models on different platforms, and * * * has 264 intelligent industrial robots.

According to official data, the overall planning of the factory covers an area of 3,000 mu, but only 903 mu was officially put into use at the initial stage. According to the plan, the annual production capacity of the factory can reach 65,438+00-65,438+05,000 vehicles.

Zhaoqing factory was defined as a digital intelligent factory at the beginning of the project, and it was built according to Industry 4.0 standard. In this way, the factory can have advanced MES manufacturing execution system, Internet of Things technology and monitoring technology throughout the whole production process. Together, they realize the visualization of production information, equipment information, process information and quality information.

To give some concrete examples, such as a complete process line with five processes, the precision of finished products can reach 0.01mm; The automation rate of welding workshop can reach100%; Vision robot can ensure the welding quality of each key part, and the accuracy can reach 0.7-1mm.

According to Pingjiang, the battery factory in Zhaoqing base has been fully automated, and the whole AGV intelligent logistics can meet the needs of flexible manufacturing. "The helium detection process can completely seal the entire battery pack. Even if the vehicle is flooded, the battery pack can still be intact after disassembly. "

In terms of quality management system, Zhaoqing Factory * * * has more than 1700 inspection items, and off-line vehicles must 100% carry out simulated road experiments, including the calibration and verification of high-speed, pebble pavement, automatic driving and automatic parking. The detection of new energy vehicles is different from traditional fuel vehicles. The project also includes potential test, charging port insulation test and dynamic implementation inspection. In terms of water tightness, it is necessary to ensure that no rain leaks under heavy rain.

With the hard core of the factory, a voice came from the industry, "When will Tucki G3 move here?"

Pingjiang said that in order to get the products of Xpeng Motors listed as soon as possible, Haima was chosen as the main engine factory, and what to do in the future depends on the market demand. "We are communicating with the shareholders of Haima. OEM has the advantages of OEM, and our own production also has its own production characteristics, which should be weighed according to the development process and market demand. As for the specific time of relocation, it should be considered based on the most favorable situation for both shareholders. "

Zhaoqing factory is at an advanced level in hardware, but it is far from enough. An excellent automobile factory should give consideration to hardware, software, management and system at the same time, and achieve nearly perfect quality control and production capacity. Pingjiang thinks Toyota has done the best in this respect. "We take Toyota as the benchmark, including (He) and General Manager Xia (Henry). We are required to benchmark the quality of Toyota, but as intelligent manufacturing and management, we have our own unique set. "

In Pingjiang's view, flexible manufacturing, software control system and vehicle intelligence are the characteristics of Zhaoqing factory, and they are also the most essential differences between Xpeng and traditional car companies in manufacturing. He hopes to realize intelligent linkage through digitalization, automation, traceability, flexibility and visualization.

"For example, such as AVM ultrasonic radar, ADAS calibration, etc. Through these calibrations, our vehicles can have intelligent automatic driving ability. A smart car must have a visual system and a brain nervous system, so that we can perceive and judge the things around the car. We must calibrate these systems to ensure the safety and reliability of vehicles during autonomous driving. "

However, in the process of intelligent manufacturing, "people" is still the key.

According to Pingjiang, Zhaoqing Factory currently has more than 600 efficient and high-quality members, 78% of whom are from mainstream OEMs, 74% have more than five years of work experience, and more than 97% are engineers with bachelor degree or above.

"For example, there is a colleague in charge of quality in the front row. He is from BYD and has more than ten years of experience. The engineer next to him is also from Guangqi Honda. In addition, some of our employees in charge of logistics have worked in Haima for more than ten years, and some have come from GM to engage in welding. In terms of academic qualifications, some graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology and others graduated from 2 1 1 university. " He believes that everyone comes from different car companies in the southeast and northwest, and how to unify them in the culture of Xpeng Motors is very important.

According to the established plan, Tucki P7 will start mass production in Zhaoqing factory in the second quarter of 2020 and be officially delivered at the end of June. Pingjiang repeated a sentence many times in the whole interview process, "develop according to market conditions." This seemingly official statement is actually very frank. For the new forces, market demand often determines more things. After forming the "New Big Three" with Weilai and Ideality, the next move of Xpeng Motors in the capital market will become very crucial, and Zhaoqing factory will gradually change from the "foundation" of products to a new role of improving the quality awareness of domestic automobiles.
