Brief introduction of Hubei Provincial Museum:
Hubei Provincial Museum is a local museum in China. Located in East Lake, Wuchang, Wuhan, covering an area of 40,000 square meters.
Established in 1953. There are nearly 9,000 cultural relics in the collection, most of which have local characteristics. Among them, the more precious are the physical objects that reflect the historical facts of Hubei's revolutionary struggle and the leaders' letters, manuscripts, photos, newspapers and periodicals; Weapons of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and stone carvings of city gates; Announcement, admission ticket and some documents of Wuchang Uprising in the Revolution of 1911.
In terms of historical relics, the most prominent are unearthed cultural relics, including stone tools, pottery, bronzes, lacquerware and so on. Especially the collection of Qujialing culture, Chu history and ancient musical instruments. Since its establishment, the museum has held nearly 100 exhibitions, mainly including the exhibition of natural environment and natural resources in Hubei Province, the exhibition of cultural relics unearthed from the tomb of Zeng Houyi, the exhibition of lacquerware in the Warring States Period, Qin and Han Dynasties in Hubei Province, the memorial exhibition of Comrade Dong, and the historical exhibition of revolutionary struggle in the fifth division of the New Fourth Army.
Among them, 600 exquisite bronzes, lacquerware, weapons and musical instruments were exhibited in the cultural relics exhibition unearthed from the tomb of Zeng Houyi in Suixian County. Selected from more than 10,000 cultural relics unearthed in this tomb, it has absorbed the scientific achievements of Zeng Houyi's tomb for many years, with rich content and novel design. The main publications are Qujialing Mountain in Jingshan, Qin Mausoleum in Shuihudi and Tomb of Zeng Houyi in Sui County.

4. Guqintai

This is a memorial building to commemorate Yu Boya playing the piano and getting to know his close friend Zhong Ziqi. According to legend, in ancient times, a pianist named Yu Boya played the piano here to express his feelings. Zhong Ziqi, the woodcutter, knew that his ambition was in the mountains and rivers, and they became bosom friends. Later, when Zhong Ziqi died, Yu Boya was very sad. He broke the piano at his friend's grave and never played it again. The allusion of "bosom friend" comes from this. The ancient music platform was built by later generations to commemorate these two close friends.
