Guannan Senior Middle School was founded in 1958, and was approved by the provincial government as the first batch of provincial key middle schools in 1980. In 2004, it was transformed into a provincial three-star high school. In 2006, it passed the evaluation of provincial four-star high schools and passed the evaluation of provincial four-star high schools in 20 12. Jiazi has trained a large number of outstanding talents for the country in the course of running a school, such as academician Fei of the National Academy of Engineering, professor of China University of Science and Technology, doctoral tutor, national cycling coach Wu Shucheng, gold medal producer Ji Daoqing and famous composers.
Since 20 12, the school has been awarded the "Teaching Quality Award" by the Municipal Education Bureau for seven consecutive years, and has successively won the honorary titles of National Chinese Teaching Model School, Provincial Advanced Education Collective, Provincial Civilized Campus, Advanced Air Force Recruitment Unit, Provincial Green School, Provincial Harmonious Campus and Provincial Safe Campus. In the 20 18 college entrance examination, the undergraduate enrollment rate of the school reached 92%, and the teaching quality improved to be the leading in the city. It won eight awards, including the Exquisite Management Award and the Teaching Quality Award of the Municipal Education Bureau, and nearly 50 teachers were awarded the titles of "Teaching Master", "Teaching Model" and "Teaching Expert" in Lianyungang City, and the development of the school climbed to a new height.
