2. Jianshan Jianshan is the third mountain of Wolf Five Mountains, with a height of 87.33 meters. The other four mountains are vertical, only Jianshan is horizontal. Because the shape of the mountain is like a sword with a horizontal scabbard, it is said that Qin Shihuang tried his sword on this mountain, so it was named Jianshan. 1926, Zhang Jian, the champion of the late Qing Dynasty, invested in the restoration of Jianshan Temple, which was collectively called Wenshuyuan. Since then, after several storms, most of the temple houses have been demolished. 1984, the remaining 14 temple houses on the top of the mountain were taken back by the Buddhist Association of the city.
Jianshan is the Dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva in Nantong. Manjusri Bodhisattva is the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge, also known as "Manjusri", and is the left attendant of Buddha Sakyamuni. Worship Manjusri Bodhisattva has become the psychological sustenance for students to pray for success in the exam. Since the restoration of Wen Shu University in 2000, many students and their parents who are near the college entrance examination come to burn incense and make wishes every year in order to get a good mood. Today's Wen Shu College is not limited to the college entrance examination, but the incense is flourishing all the year round.
