Most of these sites are located on the banks of Heying River and its tributaries, and in the south of Dengfeng. These sites are dense, just like almost every natural village in Baiping Township. This is enough to show the extensiveness and sociality of ceramic production in dengfeng kiln in history. Dengfeng kiln has a long history and a rich variety. Black porcelain, white porcelain, yellow porcelain and flower porcelain were discovered in Sui and Tang Dynasties. During the Northern Song Dynasty, dengfeng kiln's white porcelain and its decoration became more mature, and Jun porcelain, tricolor and sculpture appeared. During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, due to war, dengfeng kiln gradually declined; During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the focus of ceramic firing shifted to the south. Like most northern kilns, dengfeng kiln still mainly produces daily-use black, white, blue, yellow and blue-and-white porcelain. This situation was basically maintained during the Republic of China, with daily-use black-and-white porcelain as the mainstay, which remained among the people in the 1990s.
