Zhejiang customs former site museum
Located in the old Bund of Yongjiang River in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, the museum is a three-story building with a brick veranda, with a total construction area of 1.067 square meters. It is a typical office building, breaking the traditional contiguous courtyard structure in China. The material is Chinese blue brick, but it is equipped with western colonnade, door cover and window cover. A small building is the epitome of the blending of Chinese and western cultures. Zhejiang Customs is one of the earliest four customs established in China, which was founded in the 24th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1685), and it is also the earliest institution with modern customs functions in China. After the Opium War, Zhejiang Customs became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal customs until the liberation of Ningbo in 1949. It is the historical witness of China's early customs and has important historical and cultural value.
