Quanzhou-Xiamen expressway is the first expressway project in Fujian Province to be built with World Bank loans. Through international competitive bidding, the construction unit was selected fairly, justly and openly. In strict accordance with the requirements of World Bank loan projects, a three-level supervision organization system was established by adopting Fidyk clause and Sino-foreign joint supervision mode. In the national completion acceptance, the overall quality of the project was rated as excellent.
Due to special reasons such as topography, the Chengzhou Bridge, Xun Mei Bridge, Dapingshan Tunnel, Sucuo Tunnel and Shantou Tunnel in Quanxia section are separated in the same direction, that is, the four lanes that were originally connected together are separated into two lanes. After the separation, the two lanes on the left are automobile lanes and the two lanes on the right are large lanes, and the speed limit of the tunnel section is increased from the original 80 km/h to 100.
