The company is located in the industrial development zone along the Yangtze River in Nanjing, with Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge in the west, Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge II in the east, the main city, Tong Ning, Luoning and Ninglian expressways in the north and the Yangtze River Golden Waterway in the south. The new area has a modern wide and thick plate (coil) production line and its supporting facilities. The main equipment includes two 55-hole coke ovens and a 60-hole coke oven, a 180m2 sintering machine and a 360m2 sintering machine, a 2000m3 blast furnace and a 2550m3 blast furnace, two 120t converters, a wide slab caster and a set of wide slabs (coils). Among them, the steel rolling production line integrates the most advanced production technology and technology in the world, adopts advanced production management means, and the process equipment and product grade reach the international first-class level. The production capacity of Nangang has reached more than 6.5 million tons of steel. In 2007, the comprehensive index of enterprise's economic benefits ranked fourth among the enterprises with more than 3 million tons of steel in China. Nangang has passed ISO900 1:2000: 2000 standard quality system certification and ISO 1400 1 environmental management system certification.

The new area focuses on the production of high-end plates (coils) that are in short supply in the market. The products cover advanced pipeline steel plates, high-strength advanced shipbuilding plates, low-alloy high-strength structural plates, bridge plates, boiler plates, pressure vessel plates, construction machinery plates, high-quality carbon structural steel plates, automobile girder plates, etc. The main products of the old area, such as medium plate, rebar and high-speed wire rod, won the "Golden Cup Award" for the physical quality of metallurgical products nationwide, and most of them were also rated as provincial and municipal brand-name products and inspection-free products. The enterprise has won the honorary titles of "National Quality and Efficiency Enterprise" and "National Customer Satisfaction Enterprise" for many times.
