Thoughts on Reading Pumpkin House

Pumpkin House is a short story I read during my holiday. It tells the story of an old woman who planted a pumpkin seedling in her yard, then watered it, loosened the soil and fertilized it every day. She takes good care of the pumpkin seedlings every day, hoping that the pumpkin seedlings will grow into pumpkin vines and then become big pumpkins.

Finally, one day, the pumpkin vines grown from pumpkin seedlings blossomed, but only one flower was opened. The flowers are behind, and a little pumpkin hangs on the vine. Grandma said happily, "Little baby, grow up quickly and grow into a big pumpkin quickly."

A month later, the little finger-sized pumpkin seemed to understand the grandmother's words, and it really grew and grew, and the longer it grew, the bigger it grew. In autumn, it becomes a super-large pumpkin, almost as big as grandma's house. Then grandma asked the whole village to help her pick it, and everyone in the village tried very hard to move it. Later, grandma had a brainwave and came up with a good idea, that is, hollowing out the pumpkin and turning it into a pumpkin house. Since then, grandma has lived in this beautiful red pumpkin house. She is very happy!

This story tells me that only hard work can get what you want, and only hard work can yield something!
