I set up Offshore 309 and submitted my application directly at the Shanghai Embassy.
Before I met my husband, I never thought I would have anything to do with going abroad. Marry a chicken with a chicken, so I made 309 DIY, and now I have a visa.
It is related to the future of me and the person I like. Facing the unknown field, I feel really stressed! In the preparation of those days, I really frantically searched all the relevant materials and previous experience posts. As long as I see a new post, even if the content is not new information to me, I will feel very strange comfort and happiness. So now I would like to share my little experience with you. It doesn't matter even if I can't provide new information. It can be regarded as a basic reference manual for beginners, and it also encourages sisters who are preparing to handle it or are handling it!
My experience is that 309 is a humanitarian visa, and you can apply for it yourself (of course, you need to consult an expert in special circumstances). Also, my husband's opinion must be heard! My husband has never done it either, but he has his own immigration experience, so his opinion is right in the general direction. Of course, I can only give him proper praise, lest he be too proud:) My approach may be too cautious in some places, and there may be mistakes in some places. You can consider the experience of other positions comprehensively, and then decide the specific operation mode-
Part I: Basic work
(1) Read through the manual: You can download it online or buy it. Just read the relevant section. I didn't believe myself at first, so I read other parts. As a result, I think the manual is well written, and I definitely only read the part that instructed me to read it! The manual is an official instruction, which has very clear instructions and basic principles for many places where we apply it. So if you study the manual thoroughly, you can avoid many detours, and you can also see if many posts on the Internet are written correctly.
(2) Learn from predecessors' experience: mainly through the Internet, there are both successful experiences and failed experiences, and you can also communicate in real time. The internet is really a good thing, hehe! In short, it is equivalent to simulation test and analysis paper:)
Part II: Material Preparation
The most important thing is the material! There are two steps, one is to make a list, and the other is to prepare materials according to the list. This is fast and won't miss the material. Materials should be prepared neatly to facilitate the work of the immigration bureau and speed up the progress. I suggest printing as much as possible. By the way, all the materials should be in English!
1, list list: There are many formats on the Internet. I also selected a few and synthesized them. Finally, my husband has a high position and made a ranking. This is very important, and the materials had better not be messy. Our sorting method is strictly in accordance with the relevant contents of the manual, which is divided into four parts: forms, relationship certificates, statements and future plans, and other materials.
2. Form 888: There must be at least two copies. Remember that the copy of the witness's passport should also be signed by JP!
3. The official forms are: 40, 47, 886 and 888 (2 copies of 888).
4. Notarial certificate: born, unmarried (first get the form from the notary office, then open the certificate at the police station where the household registration is located, and then notarize it at the notary office), married. The notary office provides notarization in both Chinese and English, as long as you add money.
5. Letter of Proof: One copy for each parent, and then find several good friends to write them separately. If it is a Chinese letter, it must be translated into English (just look it up yourself), or it can be written directly in English. I always print English letters and then sign my name. The letter is accompanied by contact information (for the cable inquiry of the embassy), ID card (I also asked them to sign) and their photos. By the way, about that letter, I saw on the internet that it was handwritten and it was more true. My husband's opinion is handwritten, so I can't read it clearly. As long as it is true, it doesn't matter whether it is handwritten or not (handwriting can also be forged), so we used the printing method. The format is in the form of letters.
6, emotional history statement personal statement, future plan: this is the focus of the material! Sisters must be carefully prepared! There are different ways to write online. We wrote three articles, one for everyone and one for the future. This will be clearer. Historical statements should be written to all the main points (the main points are in the manual and online). I think the format should not be too fancy. Because it is used to understand the historical relationship between husband and wife, if it is too long or there are photos and other tidbits in the middle, it will affect reading, right? We wrote it in a general narrative style. Plans are more important than statements! Be careful. Because this involves how to fulfill the guarantee responsibility. Write clearly the current economic ability, past and future plans (economy, work, life) and so on. This article is really important! But not for long. We wrote a page. Many friends wrote two pages. The format is also in alphabetical format.
7. Economic information: The more, the better. Deposit, work certificate, income certificate, car and house, etc. , not much to say. It is best to open a bank deposit certificate for deposits.
8. Don't bind materials. I use a clip, which is the iron-black one for office use. There are two metal rods that can be turned up and down, and there are many sizes. One clip is used for one material. On the first page of each material, stick a finger-long label on one end with self-adhesive (it won't tear the paper), and write down the corresponding number in the list for the convenience of immigration staff.
9. Attention, sisters who provide telephone lists. If you want to highlight the phone, it is recommended not to draw a highlighter directly on the number. My bitter experience: the phone bill for the last two months was highlighted by me and disappeared in a few days! It's strange to say. Did the telephone office change the ink for the printer? Fortunately, I can make up the list again! I use a highlighter circle in front of the numbers (of course it will be more troublesome). I just want to say that anything is possible. So choose the safest way! I almost cried when I saw the number disappear! Fortunately, my husband has been coaxing me:)
10. I posted all the evidence (invoices, photos, etc.). ) On A4 paper, English instructions are printed in advance. The title at the top is the same as that on the list. It takes time! Of course, I can do without this. I know a friend who just put all the evidence directly into several big envelopes. 10 More than a few days, she also got a visa. But I quite like doing manual labor, hehe.
Part III: Application
(1) Submit an application
1. What you need to bring: passport (2 copies), my ID card, one more 2-inch photo (to be used on the physical examination form), passport copy (to be used for the physical examination if the passport and materials are submitted to the embassy together), and cash (the application fee of 8580 must be in cash, and you can swipe your card for the physical examination 1200). I only brought 10000 cash and materials.
2. Route: Subway Line 2, get off at Shimen stop, and walk about 10- 15 minutes to Shanghai Center (it is quite enjoyable to see Meilong Town and Henglong on the way). Taxi starting fee. The elevator opposite Starbucks in Shanghai Center goes straight to the fourth floor.
3. Time: The reception time is from 8: 30 to noon. However, I'd better go early in order to get a good physical examination right away. Besides, with my mentality at that time, I saw a post saying that I had to queue up, and I immediately thought of a sea of people! My husband arrived at 7: 35, ranking fourth. If you really want to rank first, it is enough to arrive at 7: 30, hehe! Actually, there are few people.
Turn off the mobile phone when you go in, show your ID card to the security guard outside the door, open the bag for him to see, and then allow him to enter the door. The security check after entering the door is similar to that at the airport. Then hand in the materials in the window 1 or 2. After Miss Window receives the materials, let my husband and I sit aside, and someone will come out and let us go into the small room for an interview.
5. Interview: When our interviewer comes out, first take me into the small room for an interview. The content is basically the same as other sisters' posts. The most important thing is to keep your mood stable. Don't be shy and nervous! Otherwise, the wrong answer will be in trouble. Fortunately, I have a lot of courage. I practice in and out of court every day, hehe! The question is roughly divided into two parts, checking the submitted written materials and the authenticity of the relationship between husband and wife. Answer truthfully, you can think slowly, it is normal that some questions can't be remembered at once! If you really don't remember, you can tell the interviewer that you forgot, and you must not answer indiscriminately. If it is different from what my husband said ... of course, my interview procedure is strict. I was asked for 40 minutes, my husband was asked for 10 minutes, and they went in separately. The other 309 couples who went with them went in together, 10 more minutes.
6. Payment: 8580, cash. The same window will give an invoice (with FN on it), a physical examination form and a letter. There may be information in the letter that requires supplementary materials, but the interviewer usually tells it orally.
(2) Physical examination
1, it is best to make an appointment in advance. You can't have a physical examination during menstruation. I read on the internet that it is best not to have a physical examination a few days before and after menstruation, because the urine test may be inaccurate.
2, prior maintenance: this time the body should be healthy. Drink more water and pee more two days ago, haha! There is a post saying that you should drink more water and urinate more on the same day, and then check it several times. I didn't know it was effective, but I did it anyway.
3. Location: 3rd floor, just get off the elevator.
4. Pay 1200, and you can swipe your card. Fill in the physical examination form.
5, physical examination content: hematuria, chest X-ray is a big project. Others are routine examinations such as visual medicine, which is very simple. If it's ok in the annual inspection of the unit, it's ok here.
6. Sit outside after the physical examination. Because the results of urine test and blood test will come out soon. After waiting for half an hour, the doctor will announce his name. If he can, he will say that XXX can go home:)
(3) Supplementary materials
1, take FN.
If you have the original, take it with you. The window lady will return it after checking the original.
3. It is best to have English instructions and translate them yourself.
Part IV: Waiting
No news is good news. This is my husband's most thoughtful sentence!
Part V: Good news
At noon 12, I received a call from a hidden number on time. Tell me in Chinese that I can get my passport from tomorrow! I thank them for their efficient work.
Get your ID card and get your passport. At the same time, there is the approval of VO, and there are official forms to talk about rights, information and so on after the past. And the photos, invoices, bills, telephone bills and so on in my application materials were returned to me in a big envelope. What a surprise! I thought we had lost all these memorable things!
