Classification of water absorption of cotton, hemp, silk, chemical fiber and wool

Cotton, silk, wool, linen.

Mianbu, cotton cloth, a kind of cloth made of cotton yarn. Is the floorboard of all kinds of cotton textiles. Mostly used to make fashion, casual wear, underwear and shirts. Its advantages are easy to keep warm, soft and close-fitting, moisture absorption and air permeability. Its disadvantage is that it is easy to shrink and wrinkle, and its appearance is not crisp and beautiful, so it must be ironed often when wearing it. Reference: fine cotton cloth, printing and dyeing cotton cloth, Songjiang cotton cloth, Gaochang cotton cloth, Korean cotton cloth.

The main features are as follows: (1) Good hygroscopicity and breathability, comfortable to wear; (2) Soft touch, soft and simple luster; (3) Good warmth retention and excellent wearability; (4) Good dyeability, bright color and complete chromatogram, but poor color fastness; (5) Alkali and acid resistance. Concentrated alkali treatment can make the fiber section in the fabric round, thus improving the luster of the fabric, that is, mercerization.

(6) Good light resistance, but long-term exposure will cause fading and strength decline; (7) The elasticity is poor, and wrinkles are easy to occur and difficult to recover; (8) Pure cotton fabrics are easy to mildew and deteriorate, but they are insect-resistant.

The production of cotton cloth includes three processes: spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing. Spinning and weaving are the processes of processing textile fibers into yarns and fabrics by mechanical methods, while dyeing and finishing are the processes of reprocessing fiber products by chemical methods and some physical and mechanical methods. Through finishing and processing, the wearability and appearance of fiber and its products can be improved.
