Weaning needs to separate calves from cows, put calves and cows together to breastfeed, three times a day, and then reduce the number of times a day until calves adapt to the late feed and are completely weaned. Opening material should feed the calves as soon as possible, such as some fragrant and sweet concentrate. If high-quality forage is fed at the same time, calves must eat forage first and then concentrate, and the rumen growth rate will become faster. Calves should drink enough fresh water at any time so that they can eat more concentrated feed. If the calf can eat at least 1 kg of concentrated feed a day, the calf can be ready for weaning.
At first, you can feed 10~20g ~ 20g concentrate every day, and then gradually increase the concentrate quantity. When calves are two months old, the feeding amount of concentrate can be increased to 600 ~ 1000 g per day, and weaning can be carried out according to the milk yield of cows during feeding. About 200 kilograms is easier to raise. Calves are weaned for about 35 days at the earliest and no more than 7 months at the latest. Usually weaned for about 3 months. After weaning, it is difficult to raise calves by increasing nutrition. Generally, after weaning for one or two months, it will gradually adapt to normal feeding, and it is better to buy it.
If the amount of meat and milk is insufficient, you can wean at the age of 1 ~ 2 months, but you should train calves to eat concentrate and forage in time before weaning.
