Compare Shantou with Jieyang and Chaozhou.

First of all, I declare that I am from Jieyang.

Shantou is the economic, cultural and trade center of eastern Guangdong, an open coastal city in China, one of the five special economic zones, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China and a leading city in eastern Guangdong. But in recent years, Shantou's economy has not developed, and has remained stable, with almost no growth. I'm sorry, the reputation of special economic zones is not even comparable to that of small Wenzhou. This is incredible, and the Chaoshan people who have always been called "Oriental Jews" have gradually lost their reputation. In 2005, Shantou's total economic output ranked 69th in China, at a medium level.

Chaozhou is the place with the richest Chaoshan culture, and the culture there is just like the original Chaoshan culture. In recent years, Chaozhou has developed rapidly, and won the reputation of "China Porcelain Capital" through the vigorous development of ceramic industry.

Jieyang is 2200 years old, 15 years old. Once upon a time, after Qin Shihuang crossed the sea, Jieyang ancient town was established here, which is the birthplace of Chaoshan culture. It is named because it is located in the south of Ling Jie (Lianhua Mountain). Since the city was founded fifteen years ago, Jieyang has developed rapidly, but due to its weak industrial base, it still failed to catch up with Shantou, which has a good industrial base.

Compared with the area of the three cities, Jieyang has more resources and great development potential than the sum of the other two cities. There is also the highest musical fountain in Asia in the urban area.
