In June 5438+last year 10, the Ministry of Education announced that UniSIM, a private university, had been upgraded to the sixth public university in Singapore, focusing on training professionals in social sciences and continuing its position of providing lifelong learning for workers. This university was originally affiliated with Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). After transforming into a public university, it means that it belongs to the Ministry of Education and will receive government funding. The name of the university will naturally "divorce" from the brand of Singapore Management Institute.
The government must also introduce a bill in the National Assembly to grant autonomy to the Great Leap Forward. The relevant bill is expected to be read in Congress next month and passed in the second half of the year.
