In that year, I bought a private orchard on the south side of Yuetan, repaired the garden road, installed electric lights, planted trees, planted flowers and grass, set up toilets, built square pavilions and installed road chairs, and the surrounding people entered the park free of charge. Formed a regional park.
1969, a TV tower was built in the park. During the Cultural Revolution, the ancient buildings of Yuetan were severely damaged. The "animal kisses" and "hanging animals" on the top of two Tianmen and several temples were smashed, and copper pots, tin cans and large stone screens were smashed. The big bronze bell cast in the 9th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1530) was sent to a smelter, and most of the altar walls were demolished for use. Therefore, the security forces stationed in Tannan ancient buildings, so that ancient buildings can be preserved, but they have been in disrepair for a long time.
1978 After the Cultural Revolution, Yuetan Park rebuilt the garden road, set up a water supply and drainage network, and opened up a rose garden. The green land and trees destroyed in the earthquake have been restored and supplemented. 1980 painted the clothing hall, 1982 renovated the bell tower and reinstalled the squatting beast on the roof.
1983 Yuetan Park was expanded, and the original orchard on the south side was transformed into a new garden. Many scenic spots such as Tianxiang Pavilion, Shuangxin Pavilion, Lanyue Pavilion, Yueji Scenery Pavilion, Xiyue Pavilion and the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon Goddess have been built, and more than 20 varieties of famous pomegranate trees and nearly 2,000 plants have been planted. In addition, on the 146-meter-long fence between the north and south gardens, a large stele gallery with the theme of chanting the moon was built. The stone carvings on the stele gallery are selected from the poems of famous poets chanting the moon in past dynasties, written by contemporary calligraphers and carved by masons in Quyang, Hebei Province.
1984 has been designated as a key cultural relics protection unit.
1987, a temple for the elderly under the moon was built in the southwest corner. There are statues of the elderly under the moon and large murals depicting the myths and legends of the elderly under the moon.
After 1988, electronic amusement halls, bumper cars and electric toys, amusement parks, love Yue Quan song and dance halls, paradise restaurants, wedding and festive series service departments and other services were added in the park, and a philatelic market was set up in the northeast corner.
1991February, Yuetan Park officially managed ticket sales.
At the end of 2003, Xicheng District Government began to plan the overall renovation of Yuetan Park.
On February 19, 2004, the environmental improvement project around Yuetan Park was officially included in the "Doing Practical Things for the People" project of Beijing Municipal Government in 2004. The main transformation task is to restore the style of ancient buildings in the park and comprehensively rectify the inside and outside of the park; Some residents and units within the scope of demolition and transformation; Improve cultural and public facilities; Carry out road reconstruction and expansion. Among them, the North Garden restores the charm of the ancient altar and embodies the characteristics of traditional culture; On the basis of maintaining the style of the altar and temple, the South Garden has been transformed into a China classical garden-style park with the theme of moon culture, and has added modern leisure functions.
On May 25th, 2006, Yuetan, as an ancient building from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
