General situation of Chengdu Institute of Mountain Disaster and Environment, Ministry of Water Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Chengdu Institute of Mountain Disasters and Environment, Ministry of Water Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences (referred to as Chengdu Institute of Mountain Disasters, Chinese Academy of Sciences) was established in 1966.

In April 2002, he entered the knowledge innovation project sequence of China Academy of Sciences.

In early 2006, he entered the third phase of innovation of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Since its establishment, it has carried out basic, strategic and forward-looking research to meet the strategic needs of national mountain development and ecological environment construction, undertaken and completed more than a thousand major national and local scientific research projects, solved a series of major scientific problems in national mountain construction and social development, and made outstanding contributions to the research and prevention of mountain disasters, the restoration and reconstruction of fragile ecological environment and the sustainable development of mountainous areas in China.

In order to give full play to the role of scientific think tanks, more than 50 expert consultation reports and suggestions have been written since 1996, which provide an important reference for the state to formulate macro-decision and related policies, and have been highly valued by the central government. Among them, more than 20 have been given important instructions by national leaders, nearly 40 have been adopted by information publications of relevant departments of the central government, and nearly 10 has been given instructions by leaders of the Sichuan provincial government.
