What does geospatial information engineering do?

What does geospatial information engineering do, as shown below:

This major was newly established on 20 18. Geospatial information engineering is a major developed by surveying and mapping science, information science, computer science and geography science by using surveying and mapping technology, computer technology, network technology, sensor technology and mobile communication technology.

Solve the engineering technical problems of geospatial data collection, processing, visualization, analysis, expression and service, design and make digital maps, and develop the software and hardware platform of geospatial information engineering. Simply put, it is to cultivate innovative talents who can use spatial information thinking to apply geospatial information intelligently and have the research and development ability of geospatial information service software system.

The employment prospects of geospatial information engineering major are mainly engaged in land, resources and environment investigation and monitoring, disaster monitoring and evaluation, spatial information service, and smart city construction in government agencies and institutions.

Facing the two development trends of urbanization and informatization in China, geospatial information engineering takes urban informatics as its main feature, integrates computer science, surveying and mapping science, geographic information science and urban science, and is established to adapt to the construction of new smart cities, and carries out urban planning, geographic monitoring and geographic information research.

: mineral processing

Mineral processing engineering majors train senior engineering and technical personnel engaged in mineral (metal, nonmetal and coal) sorting, mineral material processing and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources. Students mainly study basic theories and professional knowledge in physical chemistry, fluid mechanics, mineralogy, mineral processing, mineral materials, chemical engineering principles, environmental protection and so on.

After basic training in experimental research, engineering design, production management and computer application, I can undertake scientific research and professional technical work in mineral raw material analysis and testing, mineral processing (coal preparation) technology, mineral processing (coal preparation) plant design, processing and utilization of mineral materials, comprehensive utilization of resources and environmental protection.

After graduation, students majoring in this major can engage in production, design, scientific research and development, technological transformation and management in the fields of mineral (metal, nonmetal and coal) sorting and processing, and comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.
