The outside of the city wall is usually built on a steep cliff to increase the difficulty of siege. Not far apart, there is an arch called "ticket gate", where the soldiers guarding the city go up and down. The top of the city wall is 5.8 meters wide and can accommodate five horses. The city platform is a group of square buildings that rise from the top of the wall every 300 to 500 meters. It is a place for patrolling and keeping watch. This beacon tower is dedicated to transmitting military information.
