General situation of investment and construction
Chongzun Highway is the "throat" project and the last key section of the southwest sea passage. It starts from Zhongzhuangpu, Honghuagang District, Zunyi City and ends at Chongxi River at the junction of Guizhou and Chongqing. Full-length117.88km, two-way four-lane, full-line bridge and tunnel connection, huge investment. The ratio of bridge to tunnel is high and the construction is difficult, which has set a record in the history of highway construction in China. * * * 84 extra-large bridges, bridges and medium bridges with a length of 22.2 kilometers; There are 0/7 tunnels/kloc-with a length of 18.7km, and the total length of bridges and tunnels is 40.9 km, accounting for 35% of the total length of the line. The total investment of the project is 6.9 billion yuan, of which 200 million dollars is borrowed from the Asian Development Bank.
Liangfengya Tunnel is the key control project of Chongzun Expressway, and the left and right tunnels are 4085 meters long respectively. The project is located in the canyon area between Sichuan Basin and North Guizhou Plateau, and the tunnel passes through karst, underground river, fault fracture zone and gas section, so the construction is very difficult.

The opening of Zunchong Expressway marks the official completion of China's first high-grade and fast southwest sea passage (Yuzhan Expressway).
Yuzhan Expressway passes through Zunyi, Guiyang, Duyun, Nanning, Qinzhou, Beihai, Zhanjiang and other important cities, connecting industry, agriculture, tourism and transportation along the expressway into a whole market, forming a development pattern with complementary advantages, thus promoting the rapid economic development of Chongqing, Guizhou, Guangxi and Guangdong in the western development, and its influence radiates throughout the southwest region.
