Basic introduction of China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline

From June, 5438 to February, 2009, China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Corporation and Myanmar Ministry of Energy signed the Agreement on Rights and Obligations of China-Myanmar Crude Oil Pipeline, which clarified the rights and obligations of Southeast Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co., Ltd. with PetroChina as the controlling party in the construction and operation of China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline. According to the agreement, the government of the Union of Myanmar granted Southeast Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co., Ltd. the franchise of China-Myanmar crude oil pipeline, and was responsible for the construction and operation of the pipeline. Southeast Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co., Ltd. also enjoys tax relief, crude oil transit, import and export customs clearance and right-of-way operation and other related rights. The agreement also stipulates that the Myanmar government will guarantee the ownership and exclusive operation right of Southeast Asia Crude Oil Pipeline Co., Ltd. to ensure the safety of the pipeline. China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline is another important energy import channel after China-Kazakhstan crude oil pipeline, Central Asia natural gas pipeline and Sino-Russian crude oil pipeline. Including crude oil pipelines and natural gas pipelines, can cross the Malacca Strait, which is of great significance to ensuring energy security.

The overseas section and domestic section of China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline started construction on June 3rd at 20 10 and September 10 respectively.

20 13 On May 30th, China's fourth strategic energy import channel-China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline will be fully connected. By then, crude oil imported from the sea and Myanmar natural gas resources will bypass the Straits of Malacca and be transported to China.
