The difference between light rail and subway in Hong Kong

Differences in business scope, scale and number of lines.

1. Difference in operating scope: Hong Kong light rail mainly operates in Tuen Mun and Yuen Long in the northwest New Territories, covering short lines. MTR is the main railway operator in Hong Kong, covering a wider range, including cross-border and intercity railway services, connecting different parts of Hong Kong.

2. Difference between scale and number of lines: MTR is the largest railway operator in Hong Kong, with a huge railway network, including multiple lines and stations. Hong Kong light rail is relatively small in scale, with few lines and limited service scope.
