Budget and final accounts management of the company

Since the company's budget has been poor, I have been focusing on budget management since I joined the company.

According to the requirements of the company system, in the week at the end of each month, all departments need to summarize the budget management to the finance department, and the finance department will summarize the budget to the general manager's office before the end of each month. In the first week of each month, the finance department shall prepare the company's final accounts, briefly analyze the reasons for the differences between the budget and final accounts, and submit an analysis report to the general manager's office.

The seemingly simple budget and final accounts are not simple. As financial personnel, it really takes a lot of effort to understand business processes, because financial personnel do not understand business and it is difficult to make a good budget. Now the company has a mandatory budget, and it doesn't cost money without a budget.

? In a short time, all departments are seriously implementing the budget system. I feel that a few months ago, some departments spent only 20 thousand a month, but in fact, the expenditure that month was nearly one million. Some people also say that this is because this expenditure is the budget of the previous months, and the budget and final accounts are far from each other. This is the status quo of many companies.

? Let me talk about my understanding of the budget and final accounts. Knowing the budget means knowing how much money will be spent next month, where the money will come from, how to plan the use of funds, which are urgent and which are not, so as to arrange the flow of funds. This is very useful in the case of tight capital flow, at least to ensure that the company survives before developing. The final account is to summarize the actual expenditure by department every month, compare the budget, and make a comparative analysis report between the final account and the budget, so that leaders can know where the money is spent every month and whether there are unnecessary expenditures. If the final accounts are too different from the budget, what are the reasons? If the cost overrun exceeds 20% for three consecutive months, the general manager's office should talk to the budget leaders of relevant departments.

? As a financial officer, knowing the company's business, mastering the budget and final accounts and managing the company's cash flow can make the company go further!
