Persimmon Persimmon Red is a rural emotional drama jointly produced by CCTV, Beijing Huaying Vientiane Culture Media Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Dongyang Jiucai Film and Television Culture Media Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Radio and Television Film and Television Culture Industry Development Co., Ltd., directed by Shen Hang, with Wang Xihua as producer and starring, and Shen Hang, Yu Zhen, Wang Ting and Hao Jing as co-stars.
The play tells the story that in the late 1970s, Yang Shihong, who grew up in the countryside, fell in love with the ox king in the village. Later, their family fell out because of the bride price, and Niu Wang was adopted by his wife in a neighboring village. Yang Shihong married Wang Changan to be angry with him. At first, Hong Shi thought Wang Changan was timid, but after a period of life, Yang Shihong gradually matured and was deeply moved by Wang Changan's elegance and his dream of going out of the mountains. Later, Wang Changan was affected by a car accident. The whole family was left behind in Yang Shihong. In order to be worthy of her husband, and to educate her children to become useful people, Yang Shihong took responsibility alone in suffering and hardship. The family is so hard to move forward. Although she had the opportunity to go out of the mountains and change her fate, she finally stayed for her family. Later, her youngest son died. The only time she walked out of the mountain was to welcome her youngest son's ashes. Persimmon has experienced the story of joys and sorrows, telling us that staying behind is also a kind of courage, and staying behind is equally noble and great.
