3. Criminal responsibility

The false or seriously wrong appraisal report issued by the real estate price appraisal institution or real estate appraiser may constitute the crime of providing false supporting documents by the personnel of intermediary organizations and the crime of making the supporting documents materially untrue.

These two crimes are stipulated in Article 229 of the Criminal Law: "Personnel of intermediary organizations who undertake the duties of asset evaluation, capital verification, verification, accounting, auditing and legal services intentionally provide false documents, and if the circumstances are serious, they shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than five years or criminal detention and fined.

Whoever commits the crime mentioned in the preceding paragraph, extorts property from others or illegally accepts property from others, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than five years but not more than ten years and shall also be fined.
