Decoration engineering companies are generally draftsmen in the early stage. To put it mildly, you can call the assistant designer. It takes some time to adapt to the drawings when entering the company. When your drawing level can meet the standards required by designers, you can start to pick up some drawings that need to be drawn for customers. To put it bluntly, the designer gives you a design sketch, and then tells you some details that need to be drawn, and you draw on behalf of the designer. As for the interior design major you said is a general term, there are still some differences between each major, but what you need to do in interior design is basically:
Drawing (cad, 3d, ps, etc. ) A complete set of drawings, including plane, elevation and effect, and each secondary level has an extension drawing.
Beam room (it may be necessary to sketch the building structure on site)
Ask the owner for business (if the company is short of manpower)
Talk business with designers and owners.
Need to make project budget/cost.
1.2.5 is the most basic and 1 is necessary. I am a freshman majoring in environmental art design. If you want to consult more, you can ask me!
