The company has proven iron ore reserves of 7.4 billion tons, and industrial reserve has 4.4 billion tons. Iron ore is mainly sedimentary metamorphic hematite and magnetite, in which hematite is the main one, followed by magnetite, and some refractory ores with high chlorite and carbonate content. The iron grade of the ore is 28 ~ 32%, and the average particle size of iron minerals is 74 ~ 37 microns. The disseminated grain size is fine and the ore type is complex.
Most of Anshan mining companies are old mines designed by the former Soviet Union, and their mining and mineral processing technologies are at the level of the former Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1950s. Especially after the mine enters deep mining, it faces more and more technical problems and more difficulties. After many technical transformations, the old enterprises have been rejuvenated. In 1980s, the company adopted discontinuous jujube continuous process for the first time in national open-pit iron mines. The jujube belt conveyor system of railway jujube crusher is applied in Dagushan Iron Mine stope. Donganshan Iron Mine applied jujube crusher, jujube belt conveyor and jujube dumper system. In recent years, Qidashan Iron Mine has adopted the intermittent jujube continuous processing system of mobile crusher. In addition, advanced technologies and processes such as large-area millisecond blasting, steep slope mining, staged mining and plate feeder reprinting have been applied and popularized one after another, and good results have been achieved.
The concentration process is complicated. Zaodong Anshan concentrator, the largest hematite concentrator in China, adopts a single alkaline flotation process; Qidashan concentrator adopts the combined grinding process of weak magnetic jujube stage grinding, strong magnetic jujube flotation and heavy magnetic jujube roasting stage grinding; As early as 70' s, Dagushan concentrator adopted fine screen regrinding process, which improved the quality of concentrate. These three concentrator process 6 million tons of magnetite and 0/2.4 million tons of hematite per year, and the average output concentrate grade is 64.0%. The newly-built regulator Juntai concentrator has adopted many new processes, technologies and equipment, and has reached the advanced level at home and abroad in the aspects of pipeline transportation of high-concentration concentrate, transportation of high-concentration tailings, water treatment technology and automatic control.
At present, the company is equipped with 273 sets of large-scale mobile equipment controlled by the Ministry, including 3 sets of roller drill, 93 sets of electric shovel (bucket capacity of 4m3, maximum electric shovel capacity of 16.8 m3), 38 sets of crusher and 0/02 sets of ball mill. Equipped with 365 sets of transportation equipment, including large vehicles 158 sets (maximum vehicle load 154 tons), 99 sets of electric locomotives and bulldozers 108 sets. At the same time, computers are widely used in mine production and management.
