Can a limited partnership invest in other companies?

Legal analysis: According to the relevant laws, a limited partnership can set up a joint venture company with foreign capital as the investor, and the participation of a limited partnership in capital contribution requires the consent of the partners.

Legal basis: Article 6 of the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Company Registration. The State Administration for Industry and Commerce is responsible for the registration of the following companies: (1) companies that the state-owned assets supervision and administration institution of the State Council performs the responsibilities of investors and companies that are invested and established by this company and hold more than 50% of the shares; (2) Foreign-invested companies; (3) Companies that should be registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce according to laws, administrative regulations or the State Council decisions; (4) Other companies that should be registered by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
