MASTCAM, UG, Cimatron E, which software is better?

Unigraphics is a set of 3D parametric software which integrates CAD, CAM and CAE functions developed by Unigraphics Solution Company of the United States. It is the most advanced high-end software for computer-aided design, analysis and manufacturing. It is used in aviation, aerospace, automobiles, ships, general machinery, electronics and other industrial fields. UG software is in a leading position in the field of CAM, produced by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company of the United States, and is the preferred programming tool for NC machining of aircraft parts!

The CAD/CAM/PDM products of Cimatron Company in Israel are the systems that realized all the functions of 3D CAD/CAM on the microcomputer platform earlier. The system provides flexible user interface, excellent 3D modeling, engineering drawing, comprehensive NC machining, various general and special data interfaces and integrated product data management. CimatronCAD/CAM system is very popular in the international mold manufacturing industry, and also widely used in the domestic mold bureau manufacturing industry.

The CAD/CAM software based on PC platform developed by American CNC company makes geometric modeling convenient and intuitive. Mastercam provides an ideal environment for designing the shape of parts, and its powerful and stable modeling function can design complex curve and surface parts. Mastercam has powerful functions of surface rough machining and surface finish machining. There are many options for surface finishing, which can meet the surface processing requirements of complex parts and has the function of multi-axis machining. Because of its low price and superior performance, it has become the first choice for CNC programming software in domestic civil industry!

The above is a comprehensive evaluation of the three software markets. But according to my understanding of these three softwares, UG has better comprehensive performance, is suitable for drawing and design of various molds and machinery, and has high timeliness. Compared with Pro/E, Pro/E in CAM is far less than UG. UG's tool path optimization is recognized by the industry as good, just as the material says, but the operation is cumbersome and the programming efficiency is not very high. In contrast, Cimatron E's tool path optimization is not as good as UG's, but it is efficient and easy to use. However, as far as CAM is concerned, I personally recommend Cimatron E as Pro/E if it is designed, but UG is also acceptable. Enterprises in the south of China all design "Pro/E" and process "Cimatron E". As for MASTCAM, there is no market!
