Materials needed to apply for the permit for cross-strait waterway transportation in Taiwan Province Province 1. When a shipping company applies for cross-strait shipping business, it shall submit the following documents: ① an application; ② Ship information; ③ Sample of ocean bill of lading; ③ Other documents required by the Ministry of Communications. Engaged in liner shipping, in addition to providing the above documents, it shall also provide the liner shipping agreement and tariff book between the port and the airline. 5. The process for local shipping companies registered in Chinese mainland to apply for cross-strait waterway transportation licenses shall be reviewed by the Municipal Transportation Bureau and reported to the Ministry of Communications for approval. A shipping company registered in Taiwan Province Province, China shall entrust its shipping agency in Chinese mainland to apply on its behalf, and the application shall be approved by the Ministry of Communications after being examined by the shipping agency. The Ministry of Communications shall, within 45 days from the date of receiving the application documents, decide whether to approve or not, and notify the applicant in writing. 6.
