China Life Insurance Company originated from China People's Insurance Company in 1949, became an independent PICC life insurance company in 1996, and was renamed as China Life Insurance Company in 1999. In 2003, China Life Insurance Company was officially transformed into China Life Insurance (Group) Company with the approval of reorganization at the national level.
This series of changes witnessed the course of China Life from its initial establishment to development, and then to becoming a state-owned enterprise.
