The history of securities trading in Hong Kong can be traced back to 1866, but it was not until 189 1 Hong Kong Brokers Association was established that the first formal securities market was established in Hong Kong. From 1969 to 1972, Hong Kong has successively established the Far East Exchange, the Gold and Silver Stock Exchange and the Kowloon Stock Exchange. In addition to the original Hong Kong Stock Exchange, four exchanges have been established. In the short two years from 1972 to 1973, there were 1 19 listed companies in Hong Kong, and by the end of 1973, the number of listed companies had reached 296. 1On July 7th, 980, four exchanges merged to form the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. After the market closed on March 27th, 1986, all four simple rooms were closed and all business was transferred to the stock exchange.
